The respective light becomes deactivated from the Heads Up system when long pressed. So if you wanted to make sure a certain light did not come on in a drill, you can deactivate it by long-pressing.
The green light above the light means the light is activated with the system. When long pressed, the green light will turn off.
When short pressed, the respective light will become illuminated in accordance with the set illumination and delay time.
LIGHT 1 ACTIVATION
BUTTON
When short pressed, this cycles through the pre-programmed light functions.

When long pressed, this deactivates and activates the sensors from the Heads Up System.
MODE SELECTION/PAIRING
When short pressed, the screen displays the remote battery level and system signal strength.
The default screen shows the battery levels of the lights and sensors.
When long pressed, this turns on and off the remote.
POWER BUTTON
When short pressed, it increases the delay or illumination time.
When long pressed, it switches between delay time setting and illumination time setting.
"Delay" or "Light" will be flashing on the screen indicating the active time setting.
TIME AND DELAY BUTTONS
LCD Screen displays the light and battery status. It shows the illumination and delay time as well.
